Winter, came from Germany and settled at Bochabelo in Middelburg district. Before he left Germany, he was engaged to my mother, the only child of <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hermann_Theodor_Wangemann\">Dr. Wangemann<\/a> (the director of the Berlin Mission Society) by his first wife the princess of Mecklenburg, who died when my mother was born. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alexander_Merensky\">Revd. Merensky<\/a>, the father of Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hans_Merensky\">Hans Merensky<\/a>, brought my mother from Germany to be married to my father at Middelburg. Soon after the Sekukuni war, my father and mother came to Sekukuniland and settled east of Lulu mountain in the district of Lydenburg.
